Our Founder
Before pursuing law, Josephia Rouse, Esq. was a Legal Administrative Specialist for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Even though she worked for the Federal Government, she always knew she loved problem-solving and had a passion for helping people understand their rights. In a leap of faith, she left the security of her federal job and into the uncertainty of law school.
Starting as a General Practitioner, her passion for helping others lead her to family law. She began litigating family law cases in 2013 and fell in love with the process of creating common-sense solutions for families who have been struggling to get it right for years. As a family law mediator and Best Interest Attorney (an attorney who represents children in court cases), she litigated child abuse cases and honed the skills needed to make families whole, even after divorce. Taking another leap, she transitioned into operating her private practice and today stands as a leader in effectively advocating on behalf of her clients and their families.
